First, make sure you are setting up your vacuum right. It could
be something simple like you have your hose on backwards. Did you
even know that you could put your hose on backwards? - see
Manual Vacuuming.
Make sure your filter is working at it optimal. What kind of filter do you have?
Backwashing may help as well. Read
about it here.
- A few more things to check:
- Make sure you don’t have any air in your system- see
checking for air leaks.
- Make sure your skimmer does not have any cracks in it. If it does, you
may have been experiencing some water loss.
- Speaking of water loss, make sure your water level is high enough to
vacuum.
Lastly, if all else fails, call Will at 978-688-8307 ext. 14. We don’t like
to think about it but it is possible to have a cracked suction line which would
interfere with your vacuuming. Will can schedule a service tech to come out and
pressurize the lines or troubleshoot the problem.
